Oldest Port in Spain and the Mediterranean
The Port of Malaga is the oldest port, still operating, in Spain and the Mediterranean. It’s a busy port for container and intermodal freight transport, and well connected by rail from the Harbor Services Area with the Malaga Main Station. Malaga is a very popular port of call for cruise lines.
Cruise ships dock at East Quay or at Quay number 2 “Guadiaro”, which is located just outside the city centre. From the eastern dock (East Quay) you can walk to the city centre of Malaga in 20 or 25 minutes. Close to the pier is also a beach. The city boasts a variety of excellent hotels. Choose between low cost properties, cosy bed and breakfasts, self catering accommodation or luxury 5 star hotels. All places to stay are located close to the cruise ship terminals of Malaga in Spain.
