Amazon River City in Brazil
The port of the city serves several luxury cruises such as Seabourn and Crystal which sail to Fort Lauderdale Port, Bridgetown Barbados, Rio de Janeiro (see hotels) or even transatlantic to Barcelona in Spain. It is a buzzing harbor with plenty of sights to offer. The largest settlement of the Amazon is surrounded by rivers, rainforests, and it is a duty-free tourist zone.
With plenty of shops and markets around, travelers can take advantage of lower prices when visiting Brazil while on a cruise. The area has two different museums: Teatro Amazonas and the Natural Science Museum. Short trips to the Amazon river and the rainforests can be arranged through tour operators while staying in the area.
Cruise vessels dock at the main port area in downtown Manaus. Some shopping can be found inside the cruise ship terminal.
