The mega resort of Atlantis, on nearby Paradise Island, is a world-famous tourist center that brings many people to the city. Here is the Aquaventure Water Park, the largest water park in the Caribbean with an Atlantic theme with super fast slides, flowing river, a water play fortress and 11 refreshing pools. The adventurous and tropical Aquaventure park is for young and old and provides the necessary exciting adventure during your vacation.

When you stay in a hotel of the resort, the entrance to the park is free. For the day tourists or visitors it is necessary to buy a 1 or 2 day pass. It can be very busy, so book your tickets in advance.

Junkanoo Beach is a public beach located within walking distance (10 to 15 minutes) from the Nassau terminal and piers. A white sand beach popular with cruise tourists as it’s the closest one from the cruise port. It is possible to rent sunbeds and umbrellas. You reach the beach via Baystreet, Nassau’s oldest street and busy main street, with interesting shops and restaurants. On this street is the British Colonial Hotel, where 2 of the Bond films with Sean Connery were filmed.
 
Junkanoo Street Parade, a tourist canaval-like parade with music, dance and colorful costumes is a typical Bahamian tradition, celebrated on December 26 (Boxing Day) and January 1 (New Year’s Day).
 
Cable Beach is another beautiful white sand beach with transparent water and numerous dining options and facilities. You can reach it from the cruise port in about 15 minutes drive. Sandyport Beach a little further, is a bit quieter and has no facilities (17 min. drive from cruise port).
 
Blue Lagoon Island (Salt Cay) is a local tourist attraction on a private island a few miles from Nassau, Bahamas. It’s one of the best and most beautiful beaches with breathtaking turquoise waters and a hidden lagoon where you can dream away on the beach with swaying palm trees.

The Blue Lagoon is an ideal location for children, with inflatable slides in the water. In addition, there are other sporting options. At the on-site Dolphin Encounters you can swim with playful and friendly dolphins and sea lions in their natural habitat. A unique sensation in your life.

Queen’s Staircase, located in Fort Fincastle Historic Complex in downtown Nassau, is a massive limestone walkway consisting of 65 steps. The stairs are located at a tropical cave with swaying palm trees and tropical plants. Next to the popular staircase, a beautiful waterfall flows into a pool. A popular landmark for many tourists.
